Land of Oz

After twenty plus years of civil rights leaders fighting and dying for us to have the opportunities that we ALL have today, a host of piped pipers have emerged, promising our young men that riches (and bitches) await them in the Land of Oz.

We’re off to see the wizard? Well guess what? After we waste years following that yellow brick road and clicking our heels at the club, we’re going to discover the same thing Dorothy did (not to mention our moms, dads, grandmas, and grandfathers did too), that The Wizard of Oz ain’t real. And that we’re more lost now than we were when we began. Now, older, with families to support, home and economic security seem almost out of reach.  The only way to rescue oneself from a life of poverty and despair is through education and hard work.
