Ah yes, this time last year many of us were basking in the celebratory euphoria of  a historic victory, the election of Barack Obama. And rightly so. Yet, then as now the message that resonated with me was that “TOGETHER, ORDINARY PEOPLE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE.”  Adding a little “polish” merely shines up the outward appearance of a thing. To truly change things, to truly accomplish something of significance, requires all of us  to work together. The winning ticket isn’t the dude, who ever that dude is, sitting in the White House. The winning ticket is what WE can do when we put petty differences aside, and work together for the good of our communities. Ya dig. - TMNK
