Rumor has it that collectors are now flying in from France to get select works from NYC’s TMNK.
Hmm could it be that the French have an appetite for the street art of a certain “nobody.” Have you seen this Oil Drum? I guarantee you this one will soon be going…going…
ooops, too late.
Avoir!

To some New York Street artist TMNK is a virtual NOBODY in the contemporary art world. He hasn’t let that stop him as he has shared his unique brand of street art with a worldwide following. The artist let it be known that he is a creative force to be reckoned with on the International Art Scene that is New York City, as he recently took New York by Storm with his solo exhibition MODERN URBANISMS sponsored by VIBE magazine and Hennessy. Yesterday was the last day of TMNK’s Modern Urbanisms exhibit in the Lower Eastside. So as the exhibit has begun, pieces of the exhibit have begun to show up on the streets. Missed the exhibit at 351 Bowery? No worries, head to the LES (Lower Eastside) and chances are you’ll discover some Modern Urbanisms on the walls (and sidewalks) of the city as well.

Chris Brown FAMOUS! and Ron English famous POP/Street Artist. Well it seems that Pop Art Super Star Ron English was commissioned to create the cover artwork for Chris Brown’s newest project entitled FAME.
Well, you may or may not remember what happened last year when one of Ron English’s wheat paste that appeared on wooster…

Artists risk their freedom many times to make a change in the world. Join us as we make the world hear our collective voice. THE REVOLUTION WILL NOT BE TELEVISED. – TMNK

New York’s Fashion week begins this week. And I’m honored to be doing the damn thing in the city that never sleeps, and have the eyes of the world peep’n my he(art)! How crazy is that. I mean I’m a NOBODY right, not Banksy or Shepard Fairey, right? But who else you know in the art world gett’n it in like this?
My point is, that if a NOBODY like me can do it. ANYBODY can. Hard work, relentless determination is always in fashion. So As the hotties hit the runways, NOBODY is about to hit the streets! WATCH!

We met in the Spring of 2007, and at the time no one had heard of us or our art. Okay, perhaps a few. But not many. And today, the two friends/creative collaborators AVONE and TMNK aka NOBODY, have their work collected all over the world. And much of their success has come without the help of the standard and often stagnant old guard ART Gods, the galleries and the dealers.
The each have their own style, Avone markets his work under his Destroy and Rebuild brand. But together they have created collaborative paintings that are sought out by collectors worldwide. Three of their collaborations are featured in TMNK’s current POP UP exhibition MODERN URBANISMS.
Seems the word of my little POP UP exhibit is spreading. Yes, Tuesday Preview/VIP OPening was crazy! So tonight! is ON an POPPIN’ The Official Opening Reception for – Modern Urbanisms! Hope to See YOU there!
