What some call affirmations, I call affirmative action, aka this so-called Nobody keeps it moving!

Basquiat does not own “The Crown.” and New York Street Artist TMNK is not the SAMO SAMO. Sure, Basquiat is  famous, and his work now sells for millions, and me? Well, “Nobody gives a F#%K!… or do they? (wink).

Your work is a lot like… “Basquiat?” LOL I’ve heard it countless times. Some have even suggested that I’m simply a Basquiat knock-off artist. Hmmm. I could stop drawing “my” crowns, but BDO the crown, and besides NGAF!

It’s going down.

This is one of the paintings Ive been working on for Art Basel. It’s entitled: The Last Honest Man. This is a case of the artist as student, as each day I learn lessons about integrity, about being a better man today then I was the previous day. (I’d give myself a C+). In a new series of paintings I’ll be showing, I’ve co-opted the POST NO BILLS stencils commonly seen on the streets of NYC on construction barriers into my art.

As for Art Basel, I’ll be shipping some paintings today to the Sagamore Hotel in Miami Beach where I will be part of their Ninth annual Art Basel Brunch.

What does Street Artist TMNK have planned for Art Basel? Nobody Gives a F%#K, an exhibit that’s not the  SAMO SAMO. “George Bush vs. Kanye West… Nobody Gives a F%#K.”  TMNK at Art Basel, across the street from the Rubell Family Collection…Nobody Gives a F%#K. (wink) See ya in Miami.

The Rubell Family Collection (RFC) is one of the leading collections of contemporary art in the world. And during Art Basel TMNK will be a part of that collection, well almost. Actually, I’ll be joining them by presenting a very special collection of art  directly across the street. .

On one side of the street, Some of the most well known artists in the world, and a collection worth hundreds of millions of dollars, and on the other side of the street???  See you in Miami! (wink)

Hmmm. Am I dreaming, or has “somebody” done a collabo (unofficially) with Shepard Fairey? Nahhh. I must be sleep walking. LOL
