I have heard the news of the devastating earthquake, and pray that you and your families are safe (Franco, Davide, Allesandro, Georgio). Still there is sad news that hundreds have been killed and thousands left homeless. Please let me (us) know what we, the caring art community can do to help assist in the relief efforts. 

BE CAREFUL GIVING - as there will be many con-artists (the worst type of artist) trying to benefit from this tragedy. I did some quick research and found this site which grades charities according to how much of the money raised actually goes to the intended cause. Based on my initial research I would look into the Red Cross (Italian Red Cross is an affiliate), which allows you to designate a particular relief effort for your funds or Save The Children. Both have received high grades, and are currently active on the scene assisting the people who have been devastated by this tragic earthquake.

Perhaps one day soon, but for now I’m honored that my work was. And I must offer a small correction. It was NOT a solo exhibition. It seems that the gallery saw fit for me to share the spotlight with my 4 year old son, as our collaboration “I Love Mermaids” was featured. 

And for the record, my son has informed me it is NOT a collaboration. That’s HIS painting. Sheesh, when you’re a nobody it’s like being Rodney Dangerfield, I gets no respect.
